Home Sweet Home

On Valentine's Day Zach and I signed a year lease for our new apartment. Thanks owed to David and Lori for letting us live with them so we could save up enough money to get a place of our own. Our little one bedroom apartment is on the third floor of the Country Springs complex in Orem. While Zach was working on Monday, I, with the aide of many friends and family members, moved the majority of our belongings. That night Zach hung pictures and we're starting to decorate. I'm hoping my mom will come up soon to help with that:) Furniture wise we haven't been able to move our gianormous couch yet and we're looking to buy a coffee table in the near future. We just bought a washer and dryer and we'll be bringing them home tomorrow night.

This is in our front room and a little too the right when you walk in the front door. The love sac will be moved in order to make room for our big couch which will find a home against the wall under the pictures we've hung.
This picture is also the front/living room. As you can see there is the front door, our TV and one of the wonderful bookshelves that Kyle and Sally gave to us. We love bookshelves!!!

This last one is the kitchen/dining room. We bought the table for $50, yay for Craigslist.org! The kitchen is small but we've arranged things well enough so everything fits pretty well. Sunday morning I got up early and made Zach pancakes....YUMMM!!

We can't wait to have everyone over! As soon as the couch is in, the invitations will be comin' your way!!!

The joys of Valentine's Day

So, Zach recently told me that he loathed Valentine's Day. Now, It's not my favorite day of the year but being completely honest, it's kind of fun for me. I was sorta looking forward to the holiday this year now that we're married and I can spend it with the man of my dreams. So what shall I do? The girls at work all talk about the Bed and Breakfast's they are staying at for the weekend or the packages they're mailing to missionaries, and I am stumped. What do you do with a hubby who ignores the day completely. So I have a few surprises planned. They aren't Valentine's specific but hopefully they'll get it across that it's not such a bad day after all. If anyone has suggestions let me know. I want to make it a day for him to remember!
