16 weeks

Like many of my other friends who suffer infertility and a miracle pregnancy as a result, I've struggled with the idea of weekly (or monthly....) pregnancy posts. I remember the mixed emotions as I would read through them when my dreams seemed so out of reach.

The first part of this here pregnancy made the decision for me. I was too tired, too busy and far too sick to post updates on how things were going. Also, with huge ovaries I look much bigger than my actual gestational age, which embarrasses the pejiggies out of me.

Things have calmed down a little. I'm back to part time at work (no more 48 hour weeks!!!), school has settled into a nice routine and morning sickness is gone (shhhhh....don't let her hear...she might show up again...) Since I dragged you all along for the journey in making this little bean, I decided I'd continue to share our progress.

So, without further ado, 16 weeks!

Yeah. I can't believe it either.

This picture does not do the belly justice. IT'S HUGE. I already feel like mother earth. Weight gain is on track though (+4lbs) and things look good. I carried Canyon really low the whole pregnancy but I can already feel pressure in my lungs so I think things are going to be a little more up north this time around.

Baby is doing great. I Doppler little one's heart beat twice a week (perks of working on Labor and Delivery), and so far so good. None of us could be more excited.

Last and final piece of news? Gender ultrasound. Tomorrow. I cannot contain myself.

I'll give more of an update next week (or the next or the next....) but for now we are off to swim lessons.
Love you all. Thanks for sharing the journey with me.
