Valentine's Day

I went to Walmart today. On an average Monday morning you would typically find stay at home mom's wrestling four kiddos as they try to get the groceries needed for dinner that week. Today the moms stayed home and 95% of the shoppers were men. The best part? The were wrestling bouquets of flowers and heart shaped boxes of chocolates as they found the "perfect" Valentine's day card. I wonder what they had told their boss.

Valentine's Day. I find the holiday interesting and I find people's views intriguing when it comes to the reddest holiday of the year.

Zach finds it dumb. I love his initial argument of "Why should anyone need a special day to show how much they love their spouse/significant other? Shouldn't they be doing it regularly anyway?"

What a sweetie!

But what is the harm? Roll with it boys. Even a note on the mirror to surprise us in the morning would make us feel loved. I don't know about the other ladies out there but I sure like to be reminded.

Of course Zach didn't fail me this year. We went out Saturday for a wonderful dinner at Red Lobster...mmmmm I love crab. I got to work this afternoon and there was a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of roses and some chocolates just for me. I couldn't believe. I sure love my Valentine...not just today but everyday.

I already gave him a poster (yes a poster) of many of the reason's I'm so in love with him. You don't need to see that but I will say he is my match and I'm so glad I found him. I am a luck woman, wife and mother.

Pictures from Red Lobster will be posted as soon as I get home from work.

I agree with Zach's argument as long as he is being that way every other day of the year! But don't we as women, mothers and wives need to feel extra special occasionally?!? :)Glad you guys had a good one!

I can see Zach's point in a way, but you don't spoil your loved one everyday. How fun to have a special day to spoil your loved one with gifts, extra favors, flowers. . .
