Behind

WAAAAYYYY behind.

That would be me.

I really wanted to write another post quickly after that last, oh so depressing one. Alas, it did not happen. So lets play a little catch up.

Anniversary: Zach and I celebrated 5 years on December 13th. I'm not going to lie, this is my favorite "holiday" of the year. I so look forward to a night out with my mister right. After the things we have overcome this year it felt so good to go out enjoy our favorite restaurant and just act like newly weds.

Christmas: Completely and utterly amazing. Nothing like food, family and fun to make things bright and cheery. Each year I find myself increasingly emotional about the season. I so love celebrating the birth of my Savior and all he means to me. It's even better teaching my little dude about Christ.

And now it's a whole new year. Filled with new adventures, challenges and excitement. How is it that the start of a new year really makes you feel fresh and clean, like you can shake all the baggage from the previous and start again? Zach and I didn't make a list of resolutions but we are continuing some of the changes we made last year. We've been doing so well eating healthy so we'll keep that up and Zach is still training for his marathon in June. His ultimate goal is to run 1500 miles by the end of 2014. WHAT?! I know, he's nuts. My goal is 500. Much easier....ish.

I want to say a huge Thank you for all the support that came flooding in after my last post. While I'm still having my down days, I'm focusing on all the good things I have going on.

Are you ready for the infertility update? Nothing too exciting is happening at this point. At the beginning of this month, we met with Dr. Gurtcheff at the Utah Fertility Center. Our problems are many but are easily overcome with treatments. I am starting birth control in the next week or so and will remain on the pill until March 12 at which point I'll start my injections. Yes, that means we are doing a cycle of In Vitro Fertilization. Am I scared? YES. I am nervous and excited and anxious all rolled into one ball of emotion. Fortunately I've had a few weeks to let it all sink in and my nerves are calming down quite a bit. I'm sure that's why they scheduled it all so far out...let me calm down a bit.

I have a feeling 2014 will bring good things to our little family.

I thought I had commented on this weeks ago but I guess not!

This is so exciting! Y'all will be in our prayers! IVF can be hard and overwhelming but it is SO worth it. Just knowing you're actually moving forward and doing something can make all the hard stuff completely worth it.

You guys are awesome!!!!
